Homework:
Part A) Every night students should read their take home book and practice their sight words. Take home books are exchanged only on Mondays and Thursdays.
**If your child is ready for a new book, a sticky note needs to be attached saying "new book."

Part B) Homework Page goes home on Monday and is returned on Friday in their homework folder. Each night students should:
1) Write their name in their best handwriting.
2) Write their daily sentence sounding out their words
3) Complete the math challenge, it follows along with our math program so every student should be able to do this.

Library Books are due on Thursdays so students can check out on Fridays.

Happy June!

Happy June!

What a great day for Reading, Writing, and Math! Today, we practiced our addition skills, wrote a new narrative story, and read a Eric Carle book.

*****PLEASE be sure to let me know if your child will be bringing their lunch or buying a school lunch on our Practice Lunch Day, Wednesday, June 10th! If they are buying a school lunch, please send their lunch money in asap!

Important Information:
  1. June 3rd:  Science Fest from 6 to 8!  Come tour the school and see all the cool happenings in science at each grade level!
  2. June 4th:  Library Books and take home books are due!  Take Homebooks will be exchanged one last time on Thursday.  We will be collecting them for the final time on Monday, June 8th!
  3. June 5th is the Spartan Fun Run Field Day. The am class will be from 9:15-9:40 am and the pm class will be from 1:05-1:30 pm.  Please be sure your child wears tennis shoes and clothes ok to get dirty in!  :) 
  4. June 9th:  Our end of Kindergarten program is scheduled for 6:30pm. Please feel free to bring your other kiddos, invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It's sure to be a fun (and cute) show! 
  5. June 10th: Kindergarteners eat lunch at school just like a first grader!  AM is at 11:00 and PM is at 12:50.  
  6. Kindergarten "Snack-nic" and last day of school is June 11th! The morning class will be at 11am and the afternoon class is at 2:30pm. Please try to join us for the "Snack-nic,"followed by the parent celebration tunnel, where students will acquire their "Ticket to First Grade."
