Today was such a beautiful day! We started our day by reading The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. Earth Day is this Friday, so all week, we will be talking about ways to keep our earth clean and healthy. After that we had a social skills lesson with Mrs. Pittz. Today's lesson was about how to be an encouraging and helpful friend. After that we had a nice recess outside in the beautiful sunshine. Then each student wrote a promise to help the earth. After that we painted our own earth. Then we introduced our new letter of the week, Gg and our new sight words: she and he. We read our Alpha Tales book,
Be Good, Gorilla! Then we guessed what things start with the /g/ sound in our Question Can and Alphabet Can. The AM class finished the day by starting our new math unit on subtraction and PM finished the day with Library. PM will get the math lesson tomorrow.
